The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Uzbekistan held a round of air transport discussions in the Emirate of Dubai. During this tour, ways of cooperation between the two countries were discussed, and air traffic increased to different cities in both countries. These discussions resulted in the signing of the minutes of a meeting according to which many flights of national carriers to the cities of the Republic of Uzbekistan are granted.
The talks were chaired by the Deputy Director-General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Omar Ghaleb bin Ghaleb, and representatives of the local civil aviation departments and national carriers of the UAE participated in these discussions. The Uzbek delegation was also headed by Assistant Prime Minister of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alkham Makmov, and a number of civil aviation sector officials and representatives of the Uzbek airline companies accompanied them in these discussions.
The UAE is keen on enhancing air transport services with all countries, by opening new destinations for travel.
