The UAE chaired the work of the fifth meeting of the Trade Facilitation Committee within the framework of the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone, which started yesterday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, with the participation of representatives of the ministries of economy in the Arab member states.
The meeting was chaired by Sultan Darwish, Country Representative, Director of the Agreements and Joint Committees Department of the Ministry of Economy.
Dr. \”Bahgat Abu Al-Nasr\”: Director of the Economic Integration Department at the Arab League said that the aim of the three-day meeting is to complete discussions of the articles of the Legal Attachment Project to facilitate trade within the framework of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area.
He confirmed that the Arab League and its member states are seeking through these meetings to prepare a legal supplement to facilitate trade within the framework of the free trade area.
